Mark Francis' work as an actor, director and producer:

Mark was born "Frederick Emarcus Francis Twigger" in the great state of Ohio. Part English, Italian and Czech, he began watching horror films at age 5 on the Friday night "Big Chuck and Hoolihan Show" on Channel 8 late on Friday nights, where they showed all the old classic black and white films like "Creature from the Black Lagoon", "Dracula", "The Mummy", "Frankenstein". "The Wolfman" and many others. As he got older get got into two things passionately: horror films and playing guitar. As Mark began his teen years he always went by his middle name "Mark Francis" or "Mark Twigger" and later legally dropped the "Twigger" and simply had it legally changed to Mark Francis.

In 1980 whe wrote his first book called "Satan's Revenge" that contained two short stories and won first place in the National Young Author's Conference in the horror category. It was his first win as a horror writer. He has since written a total of 13 books. As his teen years progessed, he begain playing in rock bands and pursuing a career in the music business. He eventually moved to Los Angeles, California in the mid 1980's and served as temporary fill-in guy, full fledged member, touring member and founding member of many acts, most notably Matrixx and Cottonmouth.

In the late 1990's he began dabbling with background roles in the film industry, paying his dues as an actor and crew member doing everything he could to learn as much as he could about making movies. He has served as script supervisor, writer, director of photography, producer, lighting technician, sound technician, production assistant and executive producer on films. After retiring from the music business he eventually spearheaded his own independent horror film production company called "Scared to Death Films".

The company's first release, a 28 minute film short entitled "A Vampire's Kiss" was shot entirely at Mark's estate in South Florida and has won over 450 awards at horror conventions and film festivals worldwide since its release in May of 2024. The company currently has several feature length films in the pipe line and Mark continues to act with friends and fellow producers and directors on other projects.

We'll be posting some photos soon of Mark from a few other sets and projects here and will keep everyone posted on the current Scared to Death Films production "Animals" which is half finished and promises to be one of the most controversial horror films ever made.
